Cannon Beach team camp

ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

Wembley Soccer Academy has been providing soccer training opportunities for players and teams since 1992 and has been taking teams to Cannon Beach since 1994. The players experience playing street, grass and beach soccer, pickleball and participate in squad building activities.

CAMP OVERVIEW

CAMPING, MEALS AND TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED

We will be camping; tents are supplied and we will be staying at the Sea Horse Camp Site in Cannon Beach.  We will eat Breakfast and Lunch at the campsite and Dinner at a local restaurant.  All meals are included.  Transportation from Capital Soccer Fields is included.

DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR

Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated or permitted.  This training program will be tightly controlled and monitored.  Please do not attend if you want to be free spirited.  Any disruptive behavior will result in immediate dismissal from the camp, at the parent’s expense.

CHAPERONES

All Coaches (3) and Chaperones (2) are Risk Management Cleared and Safe Sport Trained.

MEALS

If you have special dietary requirements, please note this on the Electronic Registration Form. We do keep snacks and drinks with us at all activities so that the players can snack and hydrate throughout the day.

Breakfast 7:15 - 7:45 AM

Lunch 12:30 - 2:00 PM

Dinner 8:00 - 8:30 PM

TRANSPORTATION

Pickup:  8:00 AM Capital Soccer Fields

Drop off:  3:30 - 4:30 PM Capital Soccer Fields

WHAT TO BRING

  • Wear street soccer clothing for the pickup: we will be playing street soccer on the way to Cannon Beach

  • Old soccer cleats for sand soccer

  • Soccer cleats for grass soccer

  • Street Soccer shoes (flat soled shoes work best)

  • Shin guards

  • Plastic bag for dirty clothes

  • Toiletries

  • Sun Screen and Mosquito Repellant

  • 4 T-shirts, 3 shorts and 6 socks

  • Sleeping Bag and Pillow

  • Flashlight

  • 1 set of warm clothing (we do not recommend bringing new soccer warmups)

  • Towel(s)

  • Special Medication: inhaler

  • Bee Sting Kit if you are allergic

  • Water Bottle

  • Sack Lunch for Day 1

Break in new shoes prior to camp.  This can help reduce the chance of having blisters.

​

No CD Players, I-pods, DS or Portable electronics or large sums of money (you do not need to bring any money)

We collect cell phones at the beginning of the trip.  Players can call home between 8:30 - 9:15 PM.   We return the cell phones once we arrive in Longview.
